Admissions Information

1. Tours are scheduled from October through November. Please call 212 674 4545 for an appointment.

2. Applications for in-district students are distributed in the school presently attending.

3. Parents of out of district students can pick up an application from the district office at 333 7th Avenue, 7th Floor.

4. A score of 685 on both the fourth grade ELA and Math exams is required for students applying for an SP (gifted) program. Applicants for other than SP programs are not required to have a specific test score.

5. If you are applying for a grade other than 6, you will not need to fill out an application. For 7th and 8th grade you must come in to the school to request a variance form

6. Applications must be returned to the district office some time in December.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

PTA meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month at the school. Notices are sent home with students each month as a reminder of the meeting. If the meeting date is changed the notice will contain that information. PTA Executive Board meeting are held on the first Wednesday of the month.

SP Program Cirteria

Students in SP classes must maintain an 85% average in all major subjects if they expect to remain in the SP program. Questions regarding class performance should be directed to your child's subject teacher.
