Things of Interest
This school year beginning February 2nd, we will be collecting senior dues from our graduating students. The fee, which is $75 per student, is needed to offset the many costs associated with graduation. In order to have an air-conditioned auditorium with a large capacity, we need to rent a facility with a large auditorium. In addition, there are fees for security, tickets, flower arrangements and programs. There are transportation costs for our school band and color guard that are part of the ceremony. The school yearbook also represents a large expense as it has a durable hard cover, glossy paper and some color photographs. Your son/daughter will receive a senior button when the dues are paid and a yearbook in June. Tickets for graduation will be distributed in June and each student will receive four. Additional tickets will be given only to those students who have paid senior dues and have a written request from a parent. Please understand that additional tickets will be limited, given out on a first come, first served basis and cannot exceed the capacity of the auditorium. It should be noted that if the majority of 8th grade students do not pay senior dues, the ceremony can't be held an air conditioned site. Instead, it will be held at a local high school auditorium that is to date, not air-conditioned. Other separate expenses that are associated with the senior year are cap and gown, senior prom, and the senior trip to Great Adventure. Information regarding those activities will follow. Feel free to call me at the school with any questions or concerns.
