  • PTA Meeting

The next PTA meeting will be April 26. We will be having a presentation titled Fact vs. Fiction or Something In Between? Understanding the News in the Age of Information Overload.

This presentation is designed to help you help your children assess all the information that comes their way. News comes from so many sources these days;  mainstream media, social media feeds, satire shows, independent media outlets. How do you determine what news to follow and what is true? Since election day, there has been a growing concern about the amount of false information in the media and the importance of critical thinking and fact-checking. Join us for a discussion about the current state of the news and what you can do to help your kids decipher between fact and fiction.

PTA Elections for New Executive Board
Nominations for the new board will be open starting at the next meeting and will close at the end of the May meeting currently scheduled for May 17, 2017. All positions on the board are up for election or in some cases re-election. If you're interested in participating, please email us at baruch104pta@gmail.com or come the to the PTA meeting on Wednesday and we'll be happy to fill you in on the PTA's activities and responsibilities.
